City of Garner, NC Real Estate

A mere 8 miles south of the state capital, Garner is a small, family oriented community of 26,000. Currently the 4th largest town within Wake County, Garner is home to several large corporations, including Pergo, Domino's Pizza Distribution Center, PJ Foods, and Butterball.

Recreational activities abound in the town's over 350 acres of parks, including the expansive Lake Benson Park where many concerts, festivals and other activities are held. Theater enthusiasts will love Garner's own Town Players, who were named the Best Community Theater in the Triangle.

Once called the "goodliest land" by Sir Walter Raleigh, Garner is a town with a great sense of community and small town feel. Residents of the town also like to boast that they are the home of the 2011 American Idol winner, Scotty McCreery.
